Free CPR/AED classes and First Aid classes

CPR CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY ON HOLD.

Public classes are now being offered! This is subject to change with state mandates on gatherings due to COVID-19.

NWFR is offering CPR/AED and First Aid classes through the American Safety Health Institute (ASHI). Basic knowledge and application of these skills is taught in a group setting by a trained instructor and feedback is given to students throughout the class. Individual participation is encouraged and welcomed for better learning! These classes are appropriate for those who need a CPR/AED and/or First Aid card and for those who want to learn the skills in a relaxed and fun environment for personal reasons. *These classes do not meet requirements to be used as prerequisites to get into any medical program.

Our classes are free to the public. Donations of nonperishable food item(s) are encouraged but not mandatory. All food donations will be forwarded to the area food banks and are accepted at every class.

Currently, CPR/AED classes are being offered twice a month in Bellingham and Blaine while First Aid classes are being offered four times per year in Bellingham. These classes have a maximum size of 12 students per session to ensure an adequate student to instructor ratio. Due to this, our classes can fill up quickly.

Facial masks are required for all regardless of your vaccination status.

Classes are approximately 3 to 3.5 hours long. After successful completion of the class, you will obtain an ASHI certified CPR/AED and/or First Aid card.
